menta solutions has been conceived from a trajectory developed in real working environments with several European microbial collections, scientific data and complex laboratory processes, within the framework of different European projects focused on data and process management across collections.
More than twenty-five years of work in the comprehensive management of information systems and digital processes at the Spanish Type Culture Collection (CECT), one of the leading microbial collections in Europe, have resulted in experience that encompasses not only the management of scientific data, but also the administration of IT infrastructures, servers, networks, storage systems, backup strategies, access control and information security in a demanding research environment.
Continuous work with systems, users and operational needs has enabled an in-depth understanding of the importance of aspects such as data availability, protection against data loss, change traceability and access control, all of which are essential to ensure continuity in laboratory operations.
This practical knowledge —acquired through day-to-day work in both scientific data management and IT system administration— is what guides the design of our tools and services.
